Client Policies & Professional Boundaries
Salt Lake Deep Tissue Massage is a therapeutic massage practice in Millcreek, near 4500 S & 700 E, serving Salt Lake City and nearby communities. Every session is with Timi, a Utah Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). These policies apply to every client and every session. By booking an appointment, you agree to them.

Booking
- Appointments are by request. Send a booking request online with your preferred times and a short health intake.
- Your appointment is confirmed only when Timi texts or calls you to confirm a time.
- Hours: Monday–Friday 10am–6pm; Saturday & Sunday 12pm–4pm (by appointment).
- Location: Millcreek, near 4500 S & 700 E. The exact studio address is provided in your booking confirmation. Please don't share it publicly.
- Mobile massage: not offered. All sessions take place at the private studio.
Arrival
- Please arrive about 5 minutes early so your session can start on time.
- If you arrive late, your session may be shortened so the next client isn't delayed. There is no late fee.
Health Intake & Illness
- Every new client completes a health intake before their first session, including health history, medications, recent surgeries or injuries, and goals.
- Please update Timi if your health changes, including new medications, surgery, pregnancy, or a new diagnosis.
- Physician clearance may be required for certain conditions.
- If you're sick, have a fever, or may be contagious, please text or call (801) 609-6002 to reschedule. There is no fee for rescheduling because of illness.
- Consent: you consent to the massage techniques discussed at the start of each session. You may ask to change pressure, techniques, or areas at any time.
Professional Boundaries
Salt Lake Deep Tissue Massage is a strictly therapeutic, non-sexual practice.
- Sexual requests, comments, gestures, or behavior of any kind are prohibited. This includes requests for "extras," sexual jokes or innuendo, inappropriate exposure, and touching the therapist.
- Any such request or behavior ends the session immediately. The full session fee is charged, and no refund is given.
- Incidents may be reported to law enforcement, and the client will not be allowed to book again.
- Genital areas, and the breast area for female clients, are never massaged. Draping is always used (see Draping).
- Clients under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be treated, and the full session fee will be charged.
- Timi reserves the right to refuse or end any session at her professional discretion if she feels unsafe or the session is not therapeutic.
These boundaries protect both clients and the therapist, and they reflect the professional standards of the massage therapy profession in Utah.
Draping
- Professional draping is used for every session. You'll be covered with a sheet and blanket at all times.
- Only the area being worked on is uncovered, then re-covered before moving on.
- You undress to your comfort level. Many clients keep underwear on; some prefer athletic shorts.
- Timi leaves the room while you undress and get on the table, and while you dress afterward.
Clients 18 and Older
- Massage sessions are for clients 18 and older.
Payment
- Payment is by cash or Venmo.
- Session prices are listed on the booking page.
Privacy of Your Health Information
- Health information on your intake is kept confidential and used only to provide safe, appropriate massage.
- We don't sell or share personal information with third parties, except as required by law or to deliver your booking request to Timi by email.
- Communications: we use your contact information to confirm and manage your appointments.
- Website analytics: this website may use cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site.
- Reviews: we'll never publish your name or information without your permission.
Right to End a Session
- You may stop your session at any time, for any reason, or ask Timi to change pressure, techniques, or areas.
- Timi may end a session at her professional discretion if she feels unsafe or the session is not therapeutic (see Professional Boundaries).
